CNN did a horrible job

CNN did a horrible job screening questions for this debate.  There were several Democratic hacks presenting questions to the Republicans.  General Keith Kerr was pretty obvious.  If these hacks at CNN would have done a google search this guy would have been exposed.  CNN's credibility is gone.

Barak Obama, clean as the wind driven snow???

Barak Obama is aspiring to be our 44th President of the United States in 08 from all indications.  In November of this year the Chicago Tribune had written about how Senator Obama had purchased his house in 2005.  He purchased a house on the South Side of Chicago. The house originally had an ajoining lot with it.  The house that Mr. Obama ended up purchasing was surveyed as a separate property from the ajoining lot. They were sold separately. Senator Obama purchased the house for 1.67 million, approximately $300,000 less than it originally listed for. Another person by the name of Tony Rezko purchased the joining lot for $625,000 which was the full list price. The problem lies with the fact that Mr. Rezko is under indictment from the F.B.I. for fraud. It would appear that Mr. Rezko purchased yardspace for Barak Obama.  Technically this is legal but it would have the appearance of impropriety. Will it cost Mr. Obama in the upcoming Presidential race if he decides to run?? I don't think so. After all he is a Democrat.  If you was a Republican he would not have a political career. The double standard lives on.

Sadamm Hussein's execution from a cell phone camera. I'm sure that this will delight your Democratic friends and relatives  with this video. Unfortunately friends and relatives can be two separate categories.

Pastor Peggy said for a every problem their is a promise or was that for every Pelosi there is a promise.  What is the differance. Yes I will hold on to my confession of hope without wavering in 2007 Hebrews 10:23.

Old York Times- National Intellegence Estiemate

When I first saw the title on Drudgereport.com that Our involvement in Iraq has caused Terrorism to increase. The source was the New York Times.  I didn't read it.  After all it is only the New York Times.  My gut reaction was that this report did not have any credibility.  After all the template of the New York Times report is that the Iraq war is bad therefore whatever information they print will fit that template whether it has any truth or not that is another story.
Of course my gut feeling was right.  The Bush administration declassified the rest of the report only to prove that the Democrats I mean The New York Times which are one in the same are both wrong.
The New York times has its security release issues.  In the nineties CNN did not report most of the atrocities that Sadam Hussien and his regime committed because they were trying to land an exclusive interview with him.  CBS had Rathergate.  That was the report with the phony documents that said that George W. Bushe's service in the Air Force was less that stellar.  I could go on and on.  I don't hate the New York Times, the three networks, CNN, and MSNBC.  It is worse, I am indifferent toward these news sources due to the scandals mentioned above.   These folks lack credibility.

Does God want us to be Rich?

Time magazine's cover story from the September 18th issue was titled "Does God want you to be rich?". I believe the one encounter Jesus has with the rich young ruler answers many of these questions.  In Mark 10, Matthew 19, and Luke 18 talk about the rich young ruler.  In these scriptures, after the rich young ruler walked away Jesus told his disciples that those who have left houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, for my sake and for the gospel's who shall not receive a hundrefold now in this time-houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions-and in the age to come, eternal life.

The passage says that Jesus loved the rich young ruler.  In addition to the scripture above there are several promises to those who give to the poor.  They are:

-The lord will deliver him in times of trouble.(Psalm 41:1)
 -He will be happy(Proverbs 14:21)
 - He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord.  And He will pay back what he has given.(Proverbs 19:17)
-One who increases his possessions by usury and extortion gathers it for him who will pity the poor.(Proverbs 28:8)
 - He who gives to the poor will not lack. But he who hides his eyes will have many curses.(Proverbs 28:27)

Jesus obviously wanted the rich young ruler to be blessed and not to have many curses judging from the scriptures above.

The Pope's remarks about Islam

On Friday the Pope made some comments in regards to Islam.  The Muslims were very offended to say the least.  The Pope quoted a 14th century quote from Mohammed.  This infuriated Muslims all over the World.  I even read where some Muslims fire bomded 2 Catholic churches and a Greek Orthodox church on the West Bank. The report went on to say that this was a rare incident where Palestinian Muslims have attacked Palestinian Christians.
I read a column that stated that this Pope does not have the media savvy that Pope John had and they may be right.  On the other hand many of these Muslim Clerics have not shown any desire to dialog with people of differing faiths, especially Christians. If fact many of them have expressed their desire to see the destruction of Christians.
I do not think we can dialog with these people.  Jimmy Carter tried this in the late seventies and the hostages were not released until Ronald Reagan took office.  Ronald Reagan expressed no desire to dialog with them or negotiate with them.  Many leaders did not like President Reagan but we can't argue with the results.  The results were that the hostages were freed and the Berlin Wall came down.
In the middle east, one terrorist attack may not be too bad(such as in Palestine)but here one attack is too much.  Therefore we cannot afford to dialog with people who have stated that it is there objective to see us destroyed.

Richard Armitage

Yesterday I read Robert Novak's piece on Richard Armitage leaking Joe Wilson's identity as an undercover CIA agent.  This whole thing is preposterous. Richard Armitage said that it was a slip of the tongue in revealing Wilson's identity to Robert Novak.  Novak said that Armitage was in effect lying.  He called up Bob Novak and set up an appointment to talk with him.  He had purpose in revealing Wilson's identity.  Armitage also said that the special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald told him to be quiet about his leak yet there was a three month gap between when Armitage spoke with Novak and when the investigation began.

This whole this is a farce. Due to Armitage's silence people like Carl Rove and Scooter Libby were left to hang out to dry.  This is all the more reason to not trust the Democrats , Richard Armitage, and Patrick Fitzgerald.
